Lonicera periclymenum is a honeysuckle native to much of Europe, and one of Britain's two native honeysuckles. It is also known as the Common Honeysuckle, European Honeysuckle, or Woodbine.
Lonicera periclymenum grows naturally in woodland, hedgerows, and scrubland, but many garden cultivars have been developed. The Lonicera periclymenum 'Graham Thomas' cultivar is named after Graham Thomas, the famous 20th century English horticulturalist and artist. It features large circular flower heads with green flower buds that grow into white flowers, which then turn yellow as they age.
