Description

Title:
The Parish Church of St Peter & St Paul in IR
Caption / Description:

The Parish Church of St Peter & St Paul in Great Bowden, Leicestershire, England. This photograph was taken using infrared light, which gives the grass its bright tone.

The Church dates from the 13th century, though the majority of the current building dates from the 14th and 15th centuries. It features a clerestoried nave with north and south aisles, a clerestoried chancel flanked by chapels forming continuations of the aisles, north and south porches, and a spired west tower.
