Infrared photograph of two flowers of Ground Ivy (Glechoma hederacea). In visible light the plant has small blue-violet flowers with a deeper purple colour around the entrance to the throat.

In infrared the flowers' appearance is markedly different. The throat area of the flower is not any darker than the rest of the flower. The leaves appear almost as bright as the flowers.
