Infrared photograph of the flower of a small cactus (possibly a Mammillaria elongata cultivar).
The flower's appearance in infrared is very similar to its appearance in visible light. It has light coloured petals with a cluster of light coloured stamens at the centre.
The cactus stems are covered with white spines, with a few longer, darker coloured spines around the flower on the large stem. Where the cactus' appearance differs in infrared is the stem, which is quite dark in visible light, but much lighter in infrared.
