Ranunculus acris (Meadow buttercup) flower [UV]

Description

Title:
Ranunculus acris (Meadow buttercup) flower [UV]
Caption / Description:

Close-up ultraviolet photo of a Meadow buttercup (Ranunculus acris) flower. In UV the centre of the flower appears much darker than it does in visible light. The carpels and stamens are both very dark. The bases of the petals also have dark markings (though they are difficult to make out under the mass of stamens).
