Agrostemma githago (Common corn-cockle) flower [IR]

Description

Title:
Agrostemma githago (Common corn-cockle) flower [IR]
Caption / Description:

Infrared photo of a Agrostemma githago (Common corn-cockle) flower. In infrared light the flower's petals are relatively bright. At the base of each petal is a slightly brighter area, which matches the area that appears darker pink in visible light. Markings consisting of dotted lines along the petal are visible, though not as obvious as they are in visible light. The sepals appear quite a bit brighter in infrared than they do in visible light.
