Cultivated Leek flower [UV]

Description

Title:
Cultivated Leek flower [UV]
Caption / Description:

Close-up of the flower head of a cultivated Leek photographed using reflected ultraviolet light. In ultraviolet the petals and tepals take on a darker tone compared to visible light, though the tepals retain their dark marking down the centre. The stringy ends of the petals though, remain bright. The anthers appear much darker than in visible light.
