Reflected ultraviolet light photo of flowers of a variegated Hosta cultivar. In ultraviolet light the tones of the stamens are reversed - the anthers become light instead of dark, and the filaments become dark instead of light. The flower petals are darker in ultraviolet than they are in visible light.
