Flower of a variegated Hosta cultivar photographed using reflected near infrared light. In infrared most tonal differences in the flower are lost. No dark stripe down the centres of the petals is visible. The anthers are much brighter than in visible light, while the filaments and pistil retain their relative brightness. More flower buds and open flowers can be seen out of focus on the flower spike behind.
2x images combined to get Stigma and pollen covered anther in focus together.
White balance and exposure adjusted.
Dust spots removed.
