A deep peony flower with pollen covered stamens in the centre photographed in reflected infrared light. In infrared the petals of flower appear brighter. Old stamens still appear darker than fresh stamens in infrared, but the difference in tonality is much less than it is in visible light. This particular peony is likely a cultivar of Paeonia officinalis.
