Flowers of a Common Mallow (Malva sylvestris) plant photographed in reflected near-infrared light. In Infrared most of the tonal differences between the different parts of the flowers and the foliage are lost. The darker stripes on the petals are still visible, but much less obvious than they are in visible and ultraviolet light.
