Spearmint in flower

Description

Title:
Spearmint in flower
Caption / Description:

Looking down at flowering Spearmint from above. The flowers are borne on fairly long spikes. They have white petals and pistils, the stamens have purple anthers with yellow pollen. The way the flowers open is notable with the pistil emerging from the centre of the new flowers before the petals open, while the stamens are visible only on the older flowers.
