Near-infrared photograph of the tip of a Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna) branch covered in blossom. In infrared the plant appears very monotone. The foliage is much brighter than in visible light and blends in with the white flowers. The anthers that are a dark brown in visible light are as bright as the petals in infrared.
