Near-infrared photo of the flower head of the Rudbeckia fulgida 'Goldsturm' cultivar. In IR the central disc of the flower, which contains the individual florets that make up the composite flower, is quite a bit brighter than it appears in visible light. The foliage in the background is also much brighter than in visible light.
