Rudbeckia fulgida composite flower centre [UV]

Description

Title:
Rudbeckia fulgida composite flower centre [UV]
Caption / Description:

Close up of the centre of a Rudbeckia 'Goldsturm' flower, photographed in ultraviolet. In UV the part of the petals nearest to the centre of the flower, as seen here, are much darker than they are visible light. The other noticeable difference is that the pollen grains are very dark in UV compared to being bright in visible light.
