Profile view of the flower cluster of a Lotus corniculatus plant, photographed in reflected ultraviolet. The plant is commonly known as Birds-foot trefoil or Birdsfoot deervetch.
In UV the flowers look quite different than from in visible light. They are much darker and the stripes present on the top petal in visible light are lost in ultraviolet.
