A Poplar Hawk-moth caterpillar climbs along a Salix Caprea (Willow species) leaf.
The Poplar Hawk-moth caterpillar feeds mainly on Poplar and Aspen, but will also feed on a variety of other trees. Poplar Hawk-moths that feed on Willow tend to develop dark red spots on their body.
